Creating Awareness Through Safety Training At Site Safety Control Department (SCD) conducted a two half days safety training programme at HGU-BPCL site, Mumbai for engineers and supervisors of L&T and sub-contractors to create awareness on hazards associated in carrying out construction activities in the refinery. The programme was conducted from 16th to 17th July 2002 in the Safety-auditorium of M/s Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL), Mumbai. Following topics were conducted by the Safety Engineers from SCD, Powai. · Safety Management · Hazard Identification Technique · Fire Safety · Importance of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) · Working at height · Video films on construction safety Prior to start the safety training programme, safety quiz competition was organised wherein, total forty participants took part and the winners were awarded the "Certificate of merit" issued by Safety Control Department,Powai. Following were the winners of the safety quiz competition. · First rank : Mr. V. M. Thokal · Second rank : Mr. B. Nandagobu · Third rank : Mr. R. Krishnamoorthy, Mr. P. Kumarvel, Mr. Abhay Singh |
